The new information environment and the advent of social networking without borders have fundamental implications for the evaluation discipline. They will be explored through keynote 
speeches, paper presentations, panel debates and posters at the 10th EES Biennial Conference in Helsinki. Other overarching isues that reflect the current concerns and aspirations of EES members 
and are critical to the future of evaluation in Europe and beyond will also form part of the Conference agenda. Finally as in past years the Conference will provide a platform for evaluation
